Getting started

What Grow a Garden is, whether it is free, and how to start growing in your browser.

What is Grow a Garden?

Grow a Garden is a farming game you play in your browser. You buy seeds, plant them in plots, water them to grow faster, harvest the ripe crops, and sell them for coins. Those coins buy rarer seeds and more land. Weather can mutate ripe crops into versions worth many times more. There are ten crops, from the common Carrot to the Divine Moon Blossom.

Is Grow a Garden free to play?

Yes. growagarden.app is completely free and runs in your browser. There is nothing to buy, download, or install, and no premium currency, energy timer, or paywall. Every seed and plot is bought with coins you earn in the game.

Do I need to download an app or create an account?

No. The game is the website. There is no app-store download and no sign-up. Open the page, press Start gardening, and plant your first Carrot.

Is this the Roblox Grow a Garden?

No. growagarden.app is an independent, single-player browser game in the same grow-and-sell farming genre. It is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation or the creators of any Roblox experience. There is no multiplayer, trading, or stealing. Your garden is yours alone.

Seeds, shop, and money

Crops, the seed shop restock, plots, selling, and how to earn coins faster.

How do you play Grow a Garden?

Pick a seed from your bag and tap an empty plot to plant it. Tap a growing plant to water it, which doubles its speed for 20 seconds. When a crop is ripe, tap it or press Harvest all to put it in your basket. Then press Sell to turn the basket into coins. Spend coins in the seed shop on better seeds and new plots, and repeat.

How often does the seed shop restock?

Every 2½ minutes. A countdown in the Shop tab shows the time until the next restock. Carrots are always in stock. Each rarer seed has its own chance of appearing, from about 80% for Strawberries down to about 2.5% for the Moon Blossom.

What is the rarest seed?

The Moon Blossom is the only Divine seed. It costs 240,000 coins, appears in roughly one restock in forty, and regrows a crop worth around 26,000 coins every three minutes. Next come the Mythical Dragon Fruit and the Legendary Mango and Watermelon.

How do I unlock more plots?

Tap the first locked plot in the garden (it shows its price), press U, or use New plot in the Shop tab. The first extra plot costs 60 coins, and each one after that costs about 75% more. There are 24 plots in total.

Which crops regrow after harvest?

Strawberry, Blueberry, Tomato, Corn, Mango, Dragon Fruit, and Moon Blossom all regrow, so one seed keeps producing. Carrot, Pumpkin, and Watermelon are used up when picked, but Pumpkins and Watermelons sell for a lot in one go.

What does the Sprinkler do?

The Sprinkler costs 750 coins and makes every plant grow 50% faster for two minutes. You can buy more to stack its time, up to ten minutes. It works on top of watering and rain.

Why can I not harvest any more?

Your basket holds up to 200 crops. When it is full, sell it and keep harvesting. Ripe crops wait safely on the plant in the meantime.

Weather and mutations

How weather works, every mutation and its multiplier, and how to catch the rare ones.

How do mutations work?

Mutations multiply a crop’s sell price. Every crop has a 1% chance to ripen Golden (×20) and a 0.1% chance to ripen Rainbow (×50). Weather can add more mutations to crops that are ripe and still on the plant: Wet (×2) in Rain or a Thunderstorm, Shocked (×10) from lightning in a Thunderstorm, and Moonlit (×3) at Night. Golden or Rainbow sets the base multiplier, and weather mutations add on top of it.

Does weather affect how fast plants grow?

Yes. Rain and Thunderstorms make every plant grow 50% faster while they last. Clear skies and Night grow at normal speed. The current weather and its time left are shown at the top of the game.

How do I get a Shocked crop?

Wait for a Thunderstorm and leave ripe crops on their plants. Each ripe crop has a small chance every second to be struck by lightning, which makes it Shocked (×10) and replaces Wet. Crops with a high base value, like Dragon Fruit and Moon Blossom, are the best ones to leave out.

Can a crop have more than one mutation?

Yes. A Golden crop can also turn Moonlit at Night, and a Wet crop can turn Moonlit later on. Golden or Rainbow sets the base multiplier, and each weather mutation adds its bonus on top. For example, a Golden Moonlit crop is worth 20 × 3 = 60 times the normal price.

Saving, devices, and offline growth

Mobile play, supported browsers, local saves, and what happens while you are away.

Does my garden save?

Yes, automatically. Your coins, seeds, plots, basket, and stats are saved in your browser every few seconds and whenever you leave the page. Nothing is sent to a server and there is no account. A different device, another browser, or clearing site data will start a fresh garden.

Do plants grow while I am offline?

Yes. When you come back, your garden catches up on the time you were away, up to 24 hours. Plants grow at normal speed during that time, and watering still counts for as long as it lasted. Weather and weather mutations only happen while the game is open, so mutation hunting needs you there.

Can I play Grow a Garden on mobile?

Yes. The game is built for touch: one tap plants, waters, or harvests, and the Harvest all and Sell buttons are sized for thumbs. The whole garden, the main buttons, and your seed bag fit on one portrait phone screen.

How do I start over?

Open Stats (the chart icon), press Start a new garden, then tap again to confirm. This wipes your coins, seeds, plots, and stats on this browser and cannot be undone.

Which browsers are supported?

Any current browser with JavaScript works: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile. If the garden does not respond, update your browser, allow scripts for this site, and reload.
